Visitors are now able to access Esalen as well as other businesses and trails in northern Big Sur via twice-daily convoys on Highway 1 operated by Caltrans.
Convoys run only at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day. These are the only opportunities to travel into and out of Big Sur, so visitors must plan accordingly.

Lucy works in partnership with trailblazing individuals and organizations to unlock humanity’s potential and bring paradigm-shifting change to the world. She is a steward of empowering women visionaries and awakening the divine feminine principles to usher forth a more regenerative society that places human and planetary thriving at the core.
Born in the highlands of rural Mexico, Lucy holds a BA and MA in Psychology from Stanford University where she conducted research on empathy and belief polarization. Lucy lives in Santa Cruz and is a dedicated parent to her two children. When not working, she can be found practicing yoga, hiking, and walking her three dogs.
